Andrew respects the work hours and he personally participates in whatever tasks we do, and strictly stops the work on time. He is also a stable host in providing the food and all other supplies on time. I hiked, cycled, and swam in the river A LOT.”

I had a wonderful time at Andrew’s place in the beautiful Soča Valley. The tasks consisted mainly of gardening, painting or helping out around the house. All made enjoyable since it’s in a relaxed environment and Andrew is super knowledgeable and passionate and gladly shares his tips and tricks with you. I highly recommend this experience if you want to explore beautiful nature, learn about house restoration, sustainable living and feel part of the family.

The family was very lovely with an amazing home. The host was very flexible, adaptable and managed to organize only a short stay for us, as we didn’t have so much time. They had a very sweet child. The work in the garden was hard, but also fun. We were able to use the kitchen as we needed.

What an experience! I met such amazing people here. Andrew was really nice host, very respectful with everything agreed beforehand. I had a chance to meet 4 other here, such amazing travellers that I spent most of the time with. We worked 3h per day, from 9am to midday. Then we had the rest of the day to enjoy the surroundings. The lodge is perfect located close to Soca River, where we could go for a swim every sunny day. There’s plenty of hikes to do around, nice mountains, waterfalls. We camped on the top of the mountains on the weekend. As we have it free. Highly recommend!!!!
